We want to help children become aware of their inner voice as this is needed to fulfill their life mission.
Everyone who wills can hear the inner voice. It is within everyone. -Mahatma Gandhi
We use gratitude, great works, music, and inspiring words to bring inspiration to the classroom.
The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return. ~ eden ahbez
We promote service to others by hosting a series of service projects, secret gifts, and commendation for charitable acts on a daily basis. Service trips will be planned, such as painting an orphanage in Mexico. This helps open the children’s eyes to how others in the world live, and also helps provide motivation to learn a foreign language.
Whenever possible, we ask rather than command students, to be considerate of others, help clean, or do their duty. We show students the same respect an adult would receive. We expect students to address adults with a title to show respect
Respect for Country
Patriotism and respect for our country is key to our opening exercises each day. Saying the Pledge of Allegiance, singing patriotic songs and giving the students an opportunity to raise the American flag each day promotes American pride.
Respect for Religion
We respect all opinions when discussing topics at school and honor religious freedom. Children are not expected to have any religious affiliation, however religious discussions will not be forbidden. We show respect to all beliefs. We allow prayer in school.
Native American Prayer – “Great Spirit, give us hearts to understand.”
Parents and students sign a contract with the school that outlines behavior and academic expectations. It clearly spells out consequences for what the school considers unacceptable behavior. We provide opportunities for parents, teachers and mentors to become trained in Love and Logic ® Parenting. Everyone is encouraged to follow the Golden Rule -Do to others as you would have others do to you.
